I like how libraries are letting patrons add tags that are relevant to them. Sometimes Books in Print is a little clunky to use, and having different ways to find related topics is wonderful

RSS feeds

I like using exalead.com to search for RSS feeds to add to Bloglines. Unlike technorati, I can limit my blog search to those that have feeds. (Thanks to Jodi W for the tip last year!)

Tech trends

I love the potential of having video games be as educational as they are fun. SPPL is going to collaborate with the Minnesota Zoo to be a Beta testing site for their new video game Wolfquest. In the game, you are a wolf and you need to work with your pack to survive. What a great way to teach about habitat and wolves by having students play a game. Just like in the last post, play time can be learning time.

7 and 1/2 lifelong learning habits

Easiest for me is to play. I try and think about life as a way to have fun and learn while I'm enjoying the world.

Viewing problems as challenges is my most difficult habit to learn. I often want problems to go away, and don't see the learning potential.
